Never Fail Pie Crust
1 ½ cup flour
1 tablespoon vinegar
½ teaspoon salt
1 egg
2 tablespoons cold water
¾ cup butter or lard

Rub together the flour, salt and butter or lard until crumbs form. Beat the egg, vinegar and water together. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and work together quickly. The soft dough will be easier to handle if you let it rest for about 30 minutes. Roll out on a lightly floured board. Place in pie tins and bake at 180oC (350oF) until lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
