Dealing with pain is not a
pleasant thing and for those of us that live with chronic pain it can become
extremely debilitating at times, which can then lead to depression, even severe
depression leading to suicide and other ailments. If we can get on top of that
pain, and in a natural way, then our bodies will really thank us for that.
Chronic pain is one of the least
known about ailments that we can suffer from. In so many cases the doctors can
find no rhyme nor reasoning for some forms of chronic pain suffered by their
patients. For many people it is often misdiagnosed and put down to some form of
mental illness. Many are told that it is all in their heads. For many people
the cause remains a total mystery but their pain is agonising, crippling and
very, very real.
My chronic pain stems from an
accident many years ago now, when I fell through a roof of a huge greenhouse
that I was building at the time, and hit the top of a step ladder with my lower
back on the way back to Terra firma in a hurry.
It left me with 5 exploded discs
and a few damaged vertebrae. My injuries were misdiagnosed at the time. I was
told that I was imagining it all and was never taken for x-rays or tests,
which in turn compounded the injury and after 10 months of total and
sheer agony and not being able to move or walk it I was finally confined to a
wheelchair and told that I would never walk again.
Surgery was out of the question
after spending almost 4 months in a spinal unit because by that time it was
well over a year since my accident. My injury and the resulting spinal damage,
was deemed to be too severe and I was told that I would have to remain in the
wheelchair for the rest of my life.
It took me 4 years of
unbelievable pain and hard work, but I got out of that wheelchair and walked
again. I can no longer run or play with the grandchildren, and I live
constantly with chronic back pain that can and often does drop me to the
ground, but I thank God every single day that I am at least walking again.
I am one of those people that is
constantly searching for a relief to the pain.
Yes, I could take a cocktail of
drugs to help dull the pain. But that is all they do is dull it all and poison
our bodies in the process. I took that road in the beginning but after my
system got terribly poisoned from the toxic cocktail of powerful drugs I knew
that I had to stop taking them. I had to search for a much healthier way to try
and manage the pain. I started taking massive doses of Fish oil and it began to
give me relief. Now I eat fish every week and the oilier the fish the better.
My body knows the difference and responds well.
By sharing our experiences and
what does and does not work for us can be so helpful to others that seek this
relief also.
How do you all deal with pain?
Do you have a special cure that
works for you?
If so then please do share it in
the "Comments" section below so that you can help bring relief from
pain and especially chronic pain to other people.
Hopefully, one of my readers will
find comfort in the pages of thois download.
