Make your own Delicious Herb Flavoured Breadcrumbs
This final posting on making your own Breadcrumbs deals with making seasoned or flavoured breadcrumbs ready to use.

I just love having a selection of these in my pantry, ready to use whenever I need them.

Not only by making these flavoured breadcrumbs yourself do you save a bundle of money over time, but you know exactly what is in each of them with no chemical surprises what so ever. Plus you have the distinct advantage of creating the flavour combinations that you, yourself loves the best.

This process is so easy that the children can give a helping hand.

Herb Flavoured Breadcrumbs:

Simply add 1 tablespoon of mixed herbs or your own favourite herb blend to each cup of dried white breadcrumbs.

Mix to combine.

And store in an airtight container in a cool dark place or vacuum pack and freeze for longer storage.

It truly is just that simple! I grow, dry and make my own special herb blends that I use for making my seasoned breadcrumbs which adds even more savings as I do not need to buy the herbs at all.

Notes:
1.  You can add whatever dried flavouring you desire. Try adding dehydrated onions, or dehydrated tomatoes to give that extra special flavour to your cooking.

2.  Do you have fussy eaters that won’t eat their vegetables? Then just add dehydrated and powdered vegetables to the breadcrumbs to ensure that everyone in the family is getting the much needed vitamins and minerals from the vegetables – they will never know they are eating pure goodness and your mind will be at ease knowing they have had the goodness from some vegetables at least.

3.  As caring mothers we do need to get a bit sneaky sometimes to ensure that our family eats well and gets all the goodness that we can get into them. By adding powdered dehydrated vegetables to the foods we cook, we are ensuring that our family gets at least some goodness into them.

Added Note For Gluten Intolerant People:
For those that are Gluten Intolerant you can make your own Gluten Free breadcrumbs just as easily from gluten free breads so that you do not have to miss out at all.
