Sit the shaker in the back of the fridge and hey presto – a sweet Lavender smelling fridge.

It really is as simple as all that. No mess, no fuss and it will save you a bundle on those commercial fridge deodorisers.

Note: If you don't want your fridge to smell of Lavender then change the dried Lavender for some dried orange or lemon zest for a wonderful citrus scent when you open your fridge. Or maybe you prefer the smell of cinnamon and in that case just add 1 or 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon to the Baking Soda instead.

Just be sure that what you scent the Baking soda with is not going to be so overpowering that it imparts its scent into food items stored in the fridge.

To help prevent this from happening, always make sure that your food items are in sealed containers.
