Old-Fashioned Rhubarb Crunch
This is another guest post from Sandy for a wonderful "Old-Fashioned Rhubarb Crunch".
Served with either ice cream or my favourite, hot custard, this is a dessert that fills the spot on a cold winters night.
Rhubarb Crunch
4 cups rhubarb -- cut fine
4 tablespoons flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup oats
1 ½ cups flour
1 cup shortening -- part butter
Mix together rhubarb, flour and sugar and place in a greased
baking dish.
Mix brown sugar, oats, flour and shortening.
Spread over rhubarb mixture.
Bake 40 minutes at 375oF
NOTES : This recipe came from Ruth Wagner (my paternal
grandmother)
